Would You Really ?

I haven't had a Stupid DSLR Entry in a while. Most gear is good, well made, well thought out. In many respects this gear is probably well made. There is ends. The CONCEPT : Mount 2 dslr's onto your shoulder rig to get wide and close coverage. Um... dumb !. no matter what, if you frame to cover one shot, the other will not be good... even super wide one. Next, doesn't 2 cameras generally mean 2 operators ? Nothing like giving up a day of pay because of something like this where a producer decided the "whatever your get" wide shot will work. Not all ideas are good. Its not that I haven't done over / under, wide / close, but each with an operator and time spent to line the shots up... Well at least they used some music for this video that would of made a cool porno track from the 80's ! maybe... I'm off to another shoot tomorrow !

Review: Received this camera as a gift. Idea was it to mount my ski hemlet and can easily shoot video while skiing without my gloves. What a failure. Several reasons: 1 The mounting accessories are thin and not very well thought out. You would expect a hemlet camera would be able to mount on a round surface * * (hemlet, which is not round?). This thing is impossible to mount, so that roughly the right direction weist.2. The buttons for video and still images are too close together. Once again, because you do not actually see the camera, while it (remember, use it mounted on your hemlet), it is easy to get the wrong button. There is no clear acoustic display, which pushed one of the buttons .3. There is no way to turn off the display while the camera is on stand-by (that is, ready to take video). As a result, it runs through the two AA batteries in less than half an hour without ever shooting any video. That's even worse because it is almost impossible to use the ON / OFF button, even with gloves. It is tiny, and must be very hard (ideally be pressed with a pen, etc). Overall, I wish I had not got. I feel bad my brother spent so much money for such a useless piece of technology.

The idea behind this article is excellent, and for me the first item ("Create your own damn content!") is the real gem here: most of the people spend their entire lives only consuming what is created by others, and creating nothing themselves--or never sharing what they create, which is better than not creating at all, though not the best they could do.
